Poster Series
This poster series was created for a local AIGA audience-juried design exhibit. Each poster is my interpretation to these pre-chosen words:
Elastic : The Joys of Childhood
The first thing that came to mind was the horrific act of giving wedgies (yes, I had my share). This piece was voted best in its category.
Inspire : R.I.P.
One thing that has inspired me a great deal is my passion for photography, especially Polaroid camera. This poster was a tribute to the end of the production of its wonderful film products in 2008. The good news is The Impossible Project recently announced that they will begin production on new, more efficient instant films in 2010. *high-5*
Naughty: The Frenchman
Many don't understand what's going on here, and I can't blame them. This poster is based on an wonderful book I own made in the 1950's called The Frenchman. In the book this French guy is asked 20 questions by the photographer and can only respond by facial expressions and hand gestures. Some of the questions are priceless such as the one shown here: Isn't it dangerous to leave a Frenchman alone with a young woman? It's kind of wrong, but I love it.
